About the position

The Global Channel Marketing Lead at Canonical is responsible for developing strategic relationships with global partners across various technology sectors, including public cloud, silicon, and hardware vendors. This role emphasizes driving successful marketing activities and shaping partner programs to enhance Canonical's business through integrated marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, focusing on ownership of campaigns and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Partner Marketing Managers.
  • Grow channel sales through integrated partner marketing programs across system integrators, public cloud, device manufacturers, and semiconductors.
  • Establish and support relationships with partner sales, channel, and marketing teams to improve partner sales potential for Canonical products, services, and technologies.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of partner business strategies and objectives.
  • Apply product marketing approaches to devise effective messaging across all partner categories.
  • Drive marketing consistency among partners to ensure accurate representation of Canonical's brand and value proposition.
  • Enhance collaboration between Canonical and partner capabilities to improve awareness and business opportunities.
  • Implement systems and metrics to consistently improve marketing effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Experience in B2B marketing and developing channel-oriented marketing initiatives.
  • Experience in enterprise software, SaaS, or silicon preferred.
  • Strong customer/partner relationship management skills.
  • Proven analytical skills to assess opportunities and make decisions based on ROI.
  • Track record of delivering strong results and innovation.
  • Growth mindset with a willingness to take risks.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a self-starter, fast-paced, and changing environment.
  • Enjoyment of diverse work assignments and trying new approaches.
