About the position

The Global Channel Marketing Lead at Canonical is responsible for developing strategic relationships with global partners in technology, including public cloud providers, silicon manufacturers, and hardware vendors. This role focuses on driving successful marketing activities and shaping partner programs to enhance Canonical's business through integrated marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, emphasizing ownership, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Partner Marketing Managers
  • Grow channel sales through integrated partner marketing programs across various sectors
  • Establish and support relationships with partner sales, channel, and marketing teams
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of partner business strategies and objectives
  • Apply product marketing approaches to create effective messaging across partner categories
  • Ensure marketing consistency among partners to accurately represent Canonical's brand
  • Enhance collaboration between Canonical and partners to improve business opportunities
  • Implement systems and metrics to improve marketing effectiveness

Requirements

  • Experience in B2B marketing and developing channel-oriented marketing initiatives
  • Experience in enterprise software, SaaS, or silicon preferred
  • Strong customer/partner relationship management skills
  • Proven analytical skills to assess opportunities and make decisions based on ROI
  • Track record of delivering strong results and innovation
  • Growth mindset with a willingness to take risks
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a self-starter, fast-paced environment
