About the position

The Manager, Global Client Group at American Express Global Business Travel is a strategic leadership role responsible for managing client relationships and executing client servicing strategies for a portfolio of accounts. This position focuses on building strong partnerships, optimizing operations, and enhancing the value proposition for clients through innovative solutions and analytics. The role requires a consultative approach to drive client satisfaction and retention while navigating internal processes to deliver value.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the global point person for all client-related items.
  • Develop strong partnerships with clients and collaborate closely with operations to resolve issues.
  • Employ a consultative approach to drive partnership value for clients and GBT.
  • Support the enhancement of the American Express value proposition through consultation and technology road mapping.
  • Deliver differentiated value to clients, leading to satisfaction and retention.
  • Proactively recognize risks to partnerships and coordinate mitigating actions with internal partners.
  • Influence key client decision-makers through effective communication and strategic guidance.
  • Responsible for overall global operation strategy and program initiatives.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop and administer long-term and short-term operations business plans.
  • Lead annual and quarterly global business reviews.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of global account/client management experience in the travel industry.
  • Extensive customer/client facing experience globally.
  • Strong business and financial competence with a proven ability to achieve targets.
  • Strong industry knowledge across suppliers, technology, servicing, and multi-market experience.
  • Strong influencing and consultative skills with change management ability.
  • Adept at learning new technology and strategic account planning.
  • Ability to identify business opportunities and optimize customer experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver a data-driven, analytical approach to travel programs.
  • Strong negotiation skills and executive-level presentation skills.
  • Organized, disciplined, and responsive approach.
