About the position

The Communications Specialist will join the Global Communications team at Booking Holdings, focusing on earned media, social media, and internal communications initiatives. This role is pivotal in supporting the execution of the global communications strategy, enhancing media relations, and managing communications across various platforms. The successful candidate will work closely with key stakeholders to produce impactful messaging and reports, while also contributing to the organization of internal and external events.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with key media, pitching and securing interviews, and managing inbound requests.
• Partner with the Global Communications team and other stakeholders to draft and prepare deliverables including press releases, social copy, and newsletters.
• Collaborate with Communications teams across Booking Holdings' brands to produce regular communications reports and analysis.
• Assist in the development and execution of internal and external events, including Town Halls and media roundtables.
• Co-manage external relationships with agency partners and suppliers.
• Spot trends and insights to recommend timely activations and content.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 4-5 years of progressive communications experience, including media relations and social media management.
• Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• High proficiency in writing for different audiences.
• Solid understanding of business operations and financial communications.
• Highly organized with excellent planning skills.
• Strong technology skills, including experience with AI tools and proficiency in Microsoft Suite and communication platforms.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience in corporate and global communications, ideally within an in-house or agency setting.
• Knowledge of the e-commerce and/or travel industries.
