About the position

A Compensation Analyst is responsible for researching, analyzing, and recommending changes to employee compensation packages to ensure they are competitive and compliant with regulations. They analyze internal and external data, develop and maintain compensation structures, and provide guidance to managers on compensation-related matters. They also assist in the development of compensation policies and ensure compliance with laws and regulations. This is a remote/telecommute position and the individual can work from home.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to determine competitive salaries and benefits for similar roles.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data from compensation surveys, market trends, and internal data.
  • Develop and maintain salary structures and ranges, ensuring they are aligned with market data and internal equity.
  • Assess and categorize job positions, determine their classification (exempt or non-exempt), and appropriate salary ranges.
  • Ensure compensation practices comply with federal and state laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Prepare and present compensation reports to management, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Work with HR, finance, and management teams to implement and administer compensation programs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of compensation policies and guidelines.
  • Research and recommend employee benefits, ensuring they are competitive and aligned with industry standards.
  • Assist in budgeting for compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are aligned with organizational goals.
