About the position

As the Global Creative Director for Gibson, you will lead the creative vision for one of the most iconic brands in music. This role involves defining the brand's creative direction, crafting compelling narratives, and overseeing the execution of global campaigns across various channels. You will work closely with senior leadership to ensure that Gibson's legacy is honored while innovating for future generations of musicians and fans.

Responsibilities

  • Define Gibson's global creative direction, ensuring every campaign resonates with the spirit of innovation and craftsmanship.
  • Lead and inspire a diverse team of designers, art directors, copywriters, and creative specialists.
  • Oversee the creative execution of all global campaigns across digital, print, retail, and experiential channels.
  • Collaborate across departments to drive the development of Gibson's creative brand strategy.
  • Lead the creation of powerful narratives that celebrate the artistry behind Gibson's guitars.
  • Integrate new trends, technologies, and cultural insights into the brand's DNA.
  • Oversee creative direction for Gibson's entire portfolio, including Epiphone and Kramer.
  • Create immersive brand experiences in physical stores, online, and at global events.
  • Collaborate with product designers, engineers, and marketers to create campaigns rooted in product quality.
  • Partner with analytics teams to measure the impact of creative campaigns and refine brand initiatives.
  • Manage the creative budget across all content creation and agency partnerships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, design, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in senior creative leadership roles, preferably in a global brand or top-tier creative agency.
  • Proven experience leading creative teams with passion and purpose.
  • Deep expertise in brand strategy and development.
  • Experience developing bold, innovative work across digital, social, retail, and experiential channels.
  • A portfolio showcasing bold, culturally relevant, and impactful creative work.

Nice-to-haves

  • An advanced degree (MBA, MFA) is a plus.
  • Experience in industries like music, fashion, or lifestyle brands.
