About the position

The Global Demand Planner at MilliporeSigma plays a crucial role within the End-to-End Supply Chain Organization, focusing on managing the demand forecast for the Science & Lab Solutions (SLS) product portfolio. This position is essential for ensuring product availability, supporting new product introductions, and evaluating sales and market dynamics. The role involves collaboration with various teams to optimize planning and enhance overall supply chain performance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the demand forecast for the product portfolio globally to sustain product availability, support new product introductions, and evaluate sales and market dynamics.
  • Work closely with other teams to optimize planning and ensure the company has 'the right products, at the right quantity, in the right place' to meet customer demand.
  • Drive and support continuous global improvement activities to improve overall supply chain performance.
  • Participate in the development of Integrated Business Management (IBM) processes and appropriate information flows with main partners: Sales, Marketing, Network Planning, and Production Planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, Economics, or other Business field.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in Demand Planning, Operations, or Supply Chain Management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proven track record of managing performance and activities through monitoring of key metrics, such as forecast accuracy, inventory, fill rate, and backorder.
  • General knowledge of SLS or similar business portfolios.
  • Strength in interpersonal relationships across a global environment.
  • Capable of solving complex business issues and developing creative solutions in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, and project management skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with changing priorities.
  • Ability to lead or coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Good knowledge in SAP, Oracle, and Advanced Planning Systems (Logility, etc.).
  • Well-developed analytical skills.
  • Possess a strong business acumen.
