About the position

The Global Demand Planning Manager is responsible for developing and implementing effective forecasting models based on industry trends and demand patterns. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders to enhance demand forecast accuracy. The manager will actively participate in the SIOP process and lead consensus processes to ensure alignment across commercial, operational, and supply chain functions.

Responsibilities

  • Developing effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns.
  • Interfaces with Commercial Leadership, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain.
  • Facilitates monthly Demand Forecast Performance reviews with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to apply Demand Planning fundamentals across a broad spectrum of toolsets from MS Excel to Advanced Supply Chain Planning suites.
  • Core team member of the Global SIOP and Inventory Management leadership team.
  • Proposing and implementing solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
  • Develop dashboards to provide key insights into demand patterns and forecast accuracy.
  • Working with team members to plan, coordinate, and execute demand planning activities.
  • Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts and pending sales orders.
  • Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Identify opportunities for inventory reduction.
  • Maintaining demand planning processes to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required, with an emphasis on Supply Chain Management, Data Science, or Mathematics.
  • 5-8 years of professional experience in supply chain or materials management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with Data Management tools and Business Intelligence applications such as Power BI.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; a team player - detail oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task/prioritize.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems and demand planning tools.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
  • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Demantra and/or John Galt software is a plus.
  • Advanced degree in Supply Chain Management.
  • Certifications in data management and/or business intelligence applications.
  • APICS / ASCM or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with project management, financial modeling, data analysis, and strategy development.
  • Experience working in a matrix environment.
  • Experience interacting with customers and suppliers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Demantra and/or John Galt software is a plus.
  • Advanced degree in Supply Chain Management.
  • Certifications in data management and/or business intelligence applications.
  • APICS / ASCM or equivalent certification.
