About the position

The Global Demand Planning Manager is responsible for developing effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns, implementing solutions to enhance demand forecasting accuracy, and guiding stakeholders in best practices for achieving high levels of forecast accuracy. This role requires strong analytical skills, advanced knowledge of forecasting methodologies, and effective communication to collaborate with various teams including commercial, operational, and supply chain stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Developing effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns.
  • Interfacing with Commercial Leadership, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain.
  • Facilitating monthly Demand Forecast Performance reviews with key stakeholders.
  • Applying Demand Planning fundamentals across a broad spectrum of toolsets from MS Excel to Advanced Supply Chain Planning suites.
  • Serving as a core team member of the Global SIOP and Inventory Management leadership team.
  • Proposing and implementing solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
  • Developing dashboards to provide key insights into demand patterns and forecast accuracy.
  • Planning, coordinating, and executing demand planning activities with team members.
  • Monitoring and reporting on important changes in sales forecasts and pending sales orders.
  • Addressing demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Identifying opportunities for inventory reduction.
  • Maintaining demand planning processes to improve forecast accuracy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Data Science, or Mathematics.
  • 5-8 years of professional experience in supply chain or materials management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with Data Management tools and Business Intelligence applications such as Power BI.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; detail-oriented team player.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems and demand planning tools.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
  • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
  • Experience with Demantra and/or John Galt software is a plus.
  • Advanced degree in Supply Chain Management is preferred.
  • Certifications in data management and/or business intelligence applications are a plus.
  • APICS / ASCM or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Experience with project management, financial modeling, data analysis, and strategy development.
  • Experience working in a matrix environment and interacting with customers and suppliers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Demantra and/or John Galt software is a plus.
  • Advanced degree in Supply Chain Management.
  • Certifications in data management and/or business intelligence applications.
  • APICS / ASCM or equivalent certification.
