About the position

The Global DevSecOps Platform Director at McDonald's is a strategic leadership role within the Global Technology Infrastructure & Operations team. This position is responsible for overseeing the development and deployment of the Global Enterprise DevSecOps Platform, ensuring alignment with McDonald's growth strategy and technology innovation goals. The director will lead a team of professionals, manage technical priorities, and collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance DevSecOps practices across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Cloud Enterprise DevSecOps Platform teams, providing strategic vision while balancing near-term output.
• Mentor, manage, and hire a successful team of managers, architects, and engineering professionals.
• Develop and deliver a cohesive vision, strategy, and roadmaps for the DevSecOps Platform in partnership with multi-functional teams.
• Understand McDonald's current landscape of tools, processes, standards, and automation as input to the vision for evolution of the DevSecOps platform.
• Lead assessments and vendor selections to develop and deploy groundbreaking platform tools and services.
• Balance program schedule, budget, quality, and risks.
• Supervise and ensure the accuracy, quality, security, and usability of all infrastructure platforms.
• Communicate ideas effectively to a wide variety of audiences, fostering constructive dialogue and leading resolution of issues.
• Identify core problems or opportunities within business processes and understand their root causes.
• Remove bottlenecks to enable teams to work independently and drive proactive identification of gaps and opportunities.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to manage technical products from an unclear problem statement, driving clarity and opportunity assessment.
• Experience managing technical priorities relevant to DevOps practices and driving strategic architectural initiatives.
• Proven track record of delivering successful DevOps Platform technology and infrastructure projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build and grow high performing technical teams, including technical product managers, architects, and engineers.
• Ability to proactively identify and solve sophisticated problems potentially impacting the DevSecOps platform function.
• Proven analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and measure success.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with infrastructure as a service (IaaS).
• Experience with Edge and Cloud platform design patterns and vendor platform capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively influence and partner across product and platform teams within a global engineering organization.
• Strong experience owning and delivering high load digital platforms/infrastructure with measurable results.
