About the position

The Global Director of Total Rewards at JR Automation is responsible for the strategic design, implementation, and management of comprehensive total rewards programs. This role focuses on overseeing compensation, benefits, wellness initiatives, and recognition programs to support the company's objectives and enhance employee engagement and retention. The position requires a deep understanding of market trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in total rewards to ensure competitive positioning in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive total rewards strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Provide thought leadership on trends and/or opportunities in total rewards.
  • Lead the design and continuous improvement of compensation, benefits, and wellness programs.
  • Ensure the total rewards strategy supports top talent's attraction, motivation, and retention.
  • Collaborate and oversee the design, implementation, and administration of competitive compensation programs, including salary structures and incentive plans.
  • Conduct regular market analysis to ensure competitive positioning and internal equity.
  • Develop and manage the annual compensation review process, including merit increases and salary adjustments.
  • Lead the design and management of comprehensive benefits programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of benefits programs and make recommendations for enhancements.
  • Manage the open enrollment process and administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance and 401(k) plans.
  • Utilize data analytics to monitor the effectiveness of total rewards programs and drive continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior leadership on total rewards strategies and outcomes.
  • Partner with various teams to provide support and accurate information related to total rewards practices and programs.
  • Lead and develop a global team responsible for total rewards programs.
  • Ensure compliance of total rewards programs with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Communicate total rewards programs to employees and leaders, ensuring understanding and value recognition.
  • Manage relationships with external compensation and benefits vendors, brokers, and consultants.
  • Assist with administration of equity compensation programs and designing long-term incentive plans.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in a complex organization building strategy and implementing global total rewards programs at a leadership level.
  • Proven experience with compensation structures, sales compensation, salary survey systems, executive compensation, and employee benefits administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of compensation and benefits practices, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to leverage data analytics to evaluate compensation effectiveness and provide actionable insights.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or similar certification is a strong plus.
  • Experience managing corporate payroll team(s) is a plus.
