About the position

The Global DT DevSecOps Lead position at Mars Pet Nutrition (PN) is a pivotal role within the Digital First program, which aims to transform the pet nutrition category by placing pet parents at the center of all operations. This role is designed to drive the digitalization of various business processes and create capabilities that align with ambitious growth targets. The DevSecOps Lead will be responsible for automating DevOps processes to facilitate faster and more reliable code delivery, thereby enhancing the overall efficiency of the development lifecycle. This position reports to the Head of Enterprise Architecture PN and is part of the Global PN Architecture of Tomorrow team, collaborating with business and digital leaders across all functions globally. As an incubation role, this position is temporary with an estimated end date of December 2026. The primary objective is to support the rapid development of a specific product. Upon completion of this product, a permanent role will be established to maintain and support it, which will have a different job description tailored to the organization's needs at that time. Candidates should be aware that if they are unable to secure a permanent position by December 2026, they will be eligible for a separation package.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring rapid and reliable delivery of software updates.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to provision, configure, and manage infrastructure resources, enabling scalable and repeatable infrastructure deployments.
• Implement monitoring and logging solutions to track system performance and availability, optimizing infrastructure and application performance for high reliability and efficiency.
• Work closely with development and operations teams to bridge gaps, facilitate collaboration, and ensure smooth workflows throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Evaluate and select appropriate digital technologies, platforms, and tools to meet business needs.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in a Digital Tech related role in software development/implementation with a focus on architecture and design.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing DevSecOps architectures in complex digital manufacturing or product organizations.
• Extensive experience with DevSecOps principles and practices.
• In-depth knowledge of CI/CD tools and methodologies (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitOps, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Working experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code concepts.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience in business-critical systems hosted in edge and cloud environments.
• Ability to create and explain 3-tier architecture diagrams, system context diagrams, and system interaction diagrams.
• Experience in architecting deployments for production in an enterprise setting, including infrastructure knowledge, security, networking, and other considerations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience working in a multi-region business team with potentially conflicting needs/views and the ability to navigate a complex organizational landscape.
• Strong presentation and communication skills with a high degree of comfort with key audiences (Senior Executives, Management, Data Scientists, Engineers, etc.).
• Ability to educate non-digitally savvy leadership and staff.
• Learning agility and a desire to learn new technology and business.
• Experience working across multiple levels of an organization.
• Strong problem analysis, negotiating, and influencing skills.
• Proven track record of getting things done in a matrixed organization and influencing without authority.
