About the position

As a Global Environmental, Waste Program Manager at Micron Technology, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing waste management strategies across our global operations. Your primary responsibilities will include providing direction and education on key initiatives targeted at Waste Due Diligence programs, supporting new construction and site selection activities, and evaluating the risk of new waste vendors through a thorough due diligence process. You will also be instrumental in supporting sustainability efforts by evaluating new waste streams and implementing strategies to meet our waste goals. In this role, you will be expected to support waste customer requests, research and analyze policies, and perform regulatory applicability evaluations. You will implement management system criteria into environmental programs across the Micron network and manage site audits to ensure compliance with Global Waste Standards. Additionally, you will assure the accuracy of reports and permits in compliance with country, state, and local regulations, and lead the implementation and standard process sharing of waste programs across various sites. Your expertise in environmental issues and waste management will be crucial as you collaborate with cross-functional organizations to understand their needs and translate them into actionable plans. You will be guided by business objectives to determine the best methods for delivering results, and your strong analytical and problem-solving skills will help you navigate the complexities of waste management in a constantly evolving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and education of key initiatives targeted at Waste Due Diligence programs
  • Support new construction and site selection activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental, engineering, chemistry, or other relevant technical degree related to the management of environmental issues and waste
  • 4+ years of proven experience in the Environmental Waste space
  • Compliance and evaluation experience of waste programs including data analysis
  • Technical expertise in the area of waste management and balanced operations, in multi-national corporations
  • Ability to comfortably work across organizational boundaries and geographies
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional organizations to understand needs and translate them into actionable plans, deliverables, and resource requirements
  • Ability to be guided by business objectives and determine the best methods for delivering results
  • Demonstrated proficiency in independently completing sophisticated tasks
