About The Position

The Global Equine Science & Nutrition Director at Mars Horsecare is responsible for developing and managing the equine research strategy and project portfolio. This role involves collaboration with stakeholders, external partners, and key opinion leaders to enhance the health, behavior, welfare, and performance of horses globally. The director will also support business strategy, product development, and provide training and nutritional support to key customers, while presenting at equine conferences to promote Mars Horsecare's mission of improving the equine industry.

Requirements

• Equine veterinarian with a PhD or similar post-graduate qualification.
• Experience in equine nutrition, endocrinology, exercise physiology, ageing, or laminitis.
• Strong interest in equine nutrition and its role in health and performance.
• Proven ability to operate independently and as a team contributor.
• Experience managing research projects and supervising PhD students.
• Skills in planning, organizing, supervising, publishing, and presenting research.
