About the position

The Global FAE Manager will serve as a key technical liaison between Field Application Engineers (FAEs), internal applications engineering, R&D teams, and the field sales team. This role focuses on providing technical direction, mentorship, and support to FAEs worldwide, driving design wins, enhancing customer relationships, and supporting the growth of power management technology solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary interface for FAEs, bridging communication and collaboration between field teams and the EPC El Segundo applications engineering and R&D groups.
  • Gather field insights and leverage customer feedback to inform new product introductions (NPI) and strategic roadmaps.
  • Conduct regular FAE team meetings to review progress on designs and pipeline opportunities.
  • Provide guidance to help FAEs achieve quarterly design win targets and ensure opportunities move efficiently through the sales pipeline.
  • Assess and enhance the technical and interpersonal skill sets of FAEs, supporting their professional growth and advancement along the FAE career ladder.
  • Travel internationally as required to key accounts, supporting FAEs in establishing strong technical relationships with major customers.
  • Assist in penetrating new markets and expanding global reach through targeted customer support and presentations.
  • Organize and coordinate ongoing technical training sessions for FAEs, utilizing in-house applications engineering expertise to maintain a best-in-class technical support team.
  • Identify, recruit, and hire top-tier technical talent in power management to strengthen EPC's global technical support capabilities.
  • Track and coordinate design wins on a rolling 6-month basis.
  • Collaborate closely with sales teams to ensure accurate forecasting and alignment with quarterly design win submissions.
  • Partner with the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Global Sales to facilitate semi-annual business and technical reviews.
  • Provide updates and insights to executive leadership, applications engineering, and R&D teams, influencing strategy and product development priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required; Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with power management design, including familiarity with gallium nitride (GaN) technology.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing FAEs and/or technical field teams.
  • Proven ability to guide, mentor, and develop technical talent.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel globally as needed.
