About the position
The Assistant Vice President in the Global Financial Crimes Division will focus on Data Insights and Analytics, specifically within the Intelligence Delivery team. This role involves developing analytical outputs and presentations to support various internal teams, including Complex Investigations, Sanctions, and AML Advisory. The position requires a strong understanding of data mining, advanced analytical methods, and data visualization to inform senior management about risks faced by MUFG Bank.
Responsibilities
- Develop analytical outputs and presentations for internal teams within GFCD.
- Manage and coordinate the provision of data to different teams within GFCD.
- Create and maintain code to process and manage data using Python and SQL.
- Create and maintain data visualizations using Tableau.
- Support and manage relationships, both internal and external, in support of reporting responsibilities.
- Examine current processes to identify areas for improvement and develop innovative solutions.
- Work with incomplete and messy data, initiating conversations with data engineering and IT teams.
- Create accurate narratives about data and risks with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in PowerBI, Python, SQL, R, Tableau, and any combination of ArcGIS/ESRI and MATLAB.
- 3+ years of experience with ML and Advanced Analytics Model development and analysis.
- Experience in geospatial analysis and output verification and validation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience in AML, Fraud, or Counter-Threat Operations.
- Experience with drag and drop coding solutions such as Alteryx and Dataiku.
