About the position

The Global Financial Crimes Manager at Bank of America is responsible for overseeing compliance with money laundering, economic sanctions, and fraud operational risk practices. This role involves collaborating with compliance officers and managing financial crimes risk management reporting to senior leaders. The position emphasizes regulatory compliance, risk management, and the development of policies and standards to mitigate financial crimes risks.

Responsibilities

  • Advises and directs the development and maintenance of financial crimes owned policies and standards.
  • Produces and/or oversees independent financial crimes risk management reporting to Global Compliance & Operational Risk (GC&OR) Senior Leaders and FLU/CF Senior Leaders.
  • Monitors changes in regulations applicable to Global Financial Crimes and advises business leaders accordingly.
  • Participates in industry forums to identify and mitigate emerging risks related to financial crimes.
  • Escalates financial crimes related compliance and operational risks to appropriate governance routines.
  • Identifies, aggregates, reports, escalates, inspects, and challenges remediation of FLU/CF-owned issues related to financial crimes.
  • Reviews and challenges internal and external operational loss events and develops remediation plans.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of minimum experience in regulatory reporting, data, compliance, or risk functions.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience as Data Analyst or similar role in financial services industry.
  • Strong proficiency in utilizing data mining/analytics tools such as Toad, Teradata SQL Assistant, Microsoft SQL Server, and SAS.
