About the position

This position at Bank of America is responsible for executing compliance practices related to money laundering, economic sanctions, and fraud. The role involves working closely with compliance officers and various units to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and operational risk management. The position also includes managerial responsibilities, focusing on fostering an inclusive environment and driving business outcomes through effective team management and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Advises and directs the development and maintenance of financial crimes policies and standards.
  • Produces and oversees independent financial crimes risk management reporting to senior leaders.
  • Monitors changes in regulations applicable to Global Financial Crimes and advises business leaders accordingly.
  • Participates in industry forums to identify and mitigate emerging risks.
  • Escalates financial crimes-related compliance and operational risks to governance routines.
  • Identifies, aggregates, and reports on FLU/CF-owned issues and control enhancements related to financial crimes.
  • Reviews and challenges internal and external operational loss events and develops remediation plans.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in regulatory reporting, data, compliance, or risk functions.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role in the financial services industry.
  • Strong proficiency in data mining/analytics tools such as Toad, Teradata SQL Assistant, Microsoft SQL Server, and SAS.
