About the position

The Global Financial Crimes - MI&R Reporting Analyst position at Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is a pivotal role within the Global Financial Compliance Division (GFCD). The mission of GFCD is to enhance the Bank's global program to prevent and detect Global Financial Crimes wherever the Bank operates. This role is designed to assist in the creation and administration of a Global Management Information and Reporting function within the GFCD. The selected candidate will report to the Head of Analysis & Reporting on the Global MI&R Team and will be responsible for leading reporting initiatives across global functions to support the Global Financial Crimes MI&R program. This includes providing timely reporting and high-quality management information necessary to report financial crime risk across various products, services, and geographies. The goal is to raise management awareness, drive remediation activities, meet regulatory obligations, and manage risk effectively. In this role, the analyst will manage and produce routine reports in support of GFCD reporting obligations and maintain GFCD dashboards. They will create and maintain code to process and manage data using Python and SQL, as well as create and maintain data visualizations using Tableau. The analyst will also manage the MI&R lifecycle and production schedule in support of reporting requirements, and will be responsible for managing relationships both internally and externally to support reporting responsibilities. Additionally, the analyst will respond to regular and ad hoc requests for reporting by region, financial crimes area, status, and other issue categorizations. They will serve as the point of contact for new reporting requests, including ad hoc requests, and oversee and guide the work created by analysts. The role will also involve providing reports and other materials for presentation to senior management and other stakeholders as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and produce routine reports in support of GFCD reporting obligations and maintain GFCD dashboards
  • Create and maintain code to process and manage data (Python, SQL)
  • Create and maintain data visualizations (Tableau)
  • Manage the MI & R lifecycle and production schedule in support of reporting requirements
  • Manage relationships, internal and external, in support of reporting responsibilities
  • Respond to regular and ad hoc requests for reporting by region, financial crimes area, status and other issue categorizations
  • Manage and coordinate the provision of data to different teams within GFCD
  • Serve as point of contact on new reporting requests, including ad hoc requests
  • Oversee and guide work created by analysts
  • Provide reports and other materials for presentation to senior management and other stakeholders, as needed

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with Python and/or Tableau
  • 1-3 years of experience in UI/UX
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Experience working in financial crimes-related programs within existing structures preferred
  • Understanding of an effective financial crimes risk management framework
  • Experience interacting across function and management levels
  • Proven track record of success in the execution of complex and demanding situations
  • Collaborative with strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized execution
  • A Bachelor degree with a concentration in analytics, business, accounting, legal or related fields is preferred
