The KFC Global Manager of Market Planning plays a pivotal role in enhancing the restaurant development capabilities and growth of KFC through effective site selection, facilitating critical expansion initiatives, and sharing best practices in market planning. This position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, from executing market-specific tactical projects to advancing strategic multi-year market planning efforts, all in close collaboration with Business Unit (BMU) teams. The Manager will co-create and manage the execution of KFC's Marketing Planning strategy on a global scale, ensuring that the company remains at the forefront of market planning technology and capability. In the realm of Market Planning and Site Selection, which constitutes 80% of the role, the Manager will provide essential market planning tools and expertise to BMUs and franchisees, driving initiatives to implement global market planning platforms. This includes developing and running Market Planning Development “colleges” and workshops across KFC, as well as providing coaching and counseling to development leaders on key priorities. The Manager will also be responsible for the continued exploration of new market planning tools, vendors, and supporting programs, promoting innovative thinking and continuously seeking ways to enhance KFC's approach to market planning. The remaining 20% of the role focuses on Development Strategy, where the Manager will act as a key thought partner to the Director of Development, Chief Development Officer (CDO), and BMU Development leaders. This involves delivering clear messaging and communications regarding KFC's Development strategy, particularly in selecting optimal locations for new restaurants. The Manager will leverage their expertise to influence decisions through data and ensure that KFC's development strategy aligns with the company's growth objectives.
