About the position

The Global Hawk - Acquisition Program Manager will provide comprehensive acquisition program management support to the WIA/Global Hawk Program Office within the US Air Force Life Cycle Management Center. This role involves applying acquisition management philosophies and procedures to oversee various programmatic duties, ensuring the successful execution of the Global Hawk acquisition mission.

Responsibilities

  • Apply a full range of acquisition program management philosophies, policies, and procedures to perform acquisition management activities.
  • Manage and monitor assigned programs, including program changes, cost/schedule/performance issues, risks, and contract status.
  • Assist in planning, organizing, activating, and controlling the Comprehensive Cost and Requirements (CCaR) management system.
  • Activate and monitor project Purchase Request (PR) funding loads within CCaR.
  • Manage and maintain the Global Hawk weapon system Integrated Master Plans/Integrated Master Schedules (IMP/IMS).
  • Assist with planning and control of Global Hawk weapon system capabilities master schedules and testing schedules.
  • Monitor the prime contractor's efforts to design, develop, test, and field Engineering Change Proposals (ECP).
  • Assist in writing and developing contract SOW documents and CDRLs, and participate in contract proposal technical evaluations.
  • Assess viability, identify risks, and monitor progress of mission planning system solutions for the Global Hawk weapon system.
  • Participate in Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) working groups and evaluations.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements.
  • BA/BS degree.
  • 15 years of experience, with at least five years in the DoD.
  • An adjudicated DoD Secret Security clearance on the first day of employment.
