About the position

The Global HR Operations Director at Teradyne is a pivotal role that reports directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). This position is responsible for leading the HR technology and analytics, HR service center, and project management office (PMO) functions. The individual in this role will blend tactical day-to-day operations with strategic planning to enhance the efficiency of human resources services provided to employees across Teradyne's Semiconductor Test and Robotics businesses. This hybrid role is based in North Reading, MA, and requires a high level of collaboration, interpersonal effectiveness, and technical skill to deliver, maintain, and enhance a modern HR technology system while evolving HR operations processes and building PMO capabilities. The Global HR Operations Director will provide project leadership in implementing new processes and workflows across all HR systems and operations. This includes gathering requirements, researching and resolving problems, participating in testing activities, and recommending solutions to enhance the employee experience. The role also involves developing an AI in HR strategy to evaluate daily operations across HR disciplines and determine how AI can improve productivity and employee satisfaction. As a change management champion, the director will facilitate and communicate updates and changes to HR processes and policies. In addition, the director will maintain, review, test, and implement HR technology system updates and enhancements, assist with the management of HR annual processes such as performance management and benefits open enrollment, and collaborate closely with system vendors and IT to maintain system integrations. The role also encompasses overseeing HR analytics and reporting, ensuring compliance and data integrity, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to streamline and standardize HR processes. The director will actively stay informed about laws impacting HR services and align HR technology strategies with team priorities, applying technical expertise in SAP SuccessFactors to influence HR operations and decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project leadership in implementing new processes and workflows across all HR systems and HR operations.
  • Develop the 'AI in HR strategy' to evaluate day-to-day work across HR disciplines and determine how AI could drive a more positive, productive experience.
  • Act as change management champion for systems and processes, facilitating and communicating HR process and policy updates and changes.
  • Maintain, review, test, and implement HR technology system updates and enhancements, as well as employee data.
  • Assist with preparation and management of HR annual processes such as performance management, compensation planning, and benefits open enrollment.
  • Collaborate closely with system vendor support and IT to establish and maintain various system integrations.
  • Oversee HR analytics and reporting.
  • Research and resolve issues to ensure compliance, data integrity/accuracy, and data privacy.
  • Develop and update documentation to ensure compliance and capture continuous process improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, using technology to streamline and standardize processes and policies while improving efficiencies.
  • Implement and oversee data governance that maintains the integrity of data in HR related systems.
  • Actively stay up to date on laws that impact HR Services.
  • Align HR technology strategy and processes to support the teams' priorities.
  • Apply technical experience with SAP SuccessFactors to help solve, inform, and influence how HR tools operate and decision making for the HR technology team.
  • Support management on structural policy matters related to SAP SuccessFactors and other HR team systems.
  • Set the HR team technology roadmap and ensure cross-functional alignment.
  • Stand up the right service model for change management initiatives.
  • Maintain data integrity in systems by regular audits and ensure Sox compliance.
  • Design user-friendly processes, guidelines, and documentation.
  • Ensure all HR-related systems stay coordinated with data protection laws.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree preferred.
  • 10+ years Global HRIS experience ideally in the high-tech industry.
  • 5+ years building and leading high-performing global HR Technology teams.
  • Advanced experience with administration and configuration of SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Proven experience leading the implementation of multiple modules of a global HRIS system (preferably across various platforms including SAP SuccessFactors).
  • Manage system upgrades, patches, and integrations to maintain optimal system performance.
