About the position

As a Hydrogen Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of Haskel's hydrogen business globally. Your primary responsibility will be to research and identify prospects and projects within the hydrogen sector, staying abreast of industry trends, regulations, and opportunities across various regions. Working closely with our global sales team, you will nurture leads into the sales funnel, ensuring a steady pipeline of opportunities for business expansion. This person will be responsible for developing and maintaining regional strategies and prospect funnels for Haskel/BuTech hydrogen market expansion to meet Company goals. In this role, you will conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, projects, and partnerships within the hydrogen industry globally. You will utilize various sources to gather market intelligence and stay updated on industry developments. Identifying partners to utilize our components for integration into larger hydrogen solutions within the industry will also be a key aspect of your responsibilities. This role involves scouting for potential partners, such as system integrators, OEMs, and technology providers, who can leverage our components to create comprehensive hydrogen solutions. You will generate leads through targeted outreach, networking, and relationship building, developing strategies to nurture leads through the sales funnel, from initial contact to contract negotiation and closure. Staying informed about regulatory frameworks, policies, and incentives related to hydrogen across different regions will be crucial. You will analyze market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and emerging trends to inform business strategies and decision-making. Collaboration will be essential as you work closely with internal teams, including sales, product management, marketing, engineering, and finance, to align business development efforts with company goals and objectives. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners will be vital, as you will need to understand their needs, challenges, and priorities to tailor solutions and proposals effectively. Additionally, you will prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches to showcase our capabilities, value proposition, and offerings to prospective clients, participating in meetings, conferences, and industry events to promote our hydrogen solutions and foster business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or related roles within the energy, renewable energy, or hydrogen sector.
  • Deep understanding of the hydrogen industry, market trends, technologies, and regulatory landscape.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as necessary.
