About the position

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Global Hydrogen Market Business Development Manager to spearhead the growth of Haskel's hydrogen business on a global scale. This remote position, available to candidates in Europe or the USA, is pivotal in identifying and nurturing prospects and projects within the hydrogen sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive market research to pinpoint potential clients, projects, and partnerships, while staying informed about industry trends, regulations, and opportunities across various regions. This role requires a proactive approach to lead generation and nurturing, ensuring a steady pipeline of opportunities for business expansion. The Business Development Manager will work closely with the global sales team to develop and maintain regional strategies and prospect funnels aimed at expanding Haskel/BuTech's presence in the hydrogen market. Key responsibilities include identifying partners for integration into larger hydrogen solutions, generating leads through targeted outreach and networking, and analyzing market dynamics to inform business strategies. The role also involves cross-functional collaboration with internal teams such as sales, product management, marketing, engineering, and finance to align business development efforts with company goals. Additionally, the manager will be tasked with building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, understanding their needs and challenges to tailor effective solutions. The position requires the preparation of compelling proposals and presentations to showcase the company's capabilities and value proposition to prospective clients. Participation in industry events and conferences to promote hydrogen solutions and foster business opportunities is also a critical aspect of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, projects, and partnerships within the hydrogen industry globally.

  • Develop strategies to nurture leads through the sales funnel, from initial contact to contract negotiation and closure.

  • Analyze market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and emerging trends to inform business strategies and decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including sales, product management, marketing, engineering, and finance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
  • Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches to showcase capabilities and value proposition to prospective clients.
  • Participate in meetings, conferences, and industry events to promote hydrogen solutions and foster business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or related roles within the energy, renewable energy, or hydrogen sector.
  • Deep understanding of the hydrogen industry, market trends, technologies, and regulatory landscape.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
