About the position

The Global Integration Engineer Staff position at Lockheed Martin involves working within the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Global team. This team is responsible for engineering, developing, and integrating new capabilities for the Missile Defense System, which protects the United States and its allies. The role is situated in a dynamic environment where large teams are divided into smaller agile groups, focusing on various tasks such as Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security, and enhancing critical missile defense technologies. In this position, you will be tasked with integrating JEMINI Lab test suites in the development lab, assisting software development personnel in troubleshooting and resolving issues, and creating scripts for data analysis. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting both test and prototype issues, developing procedures and work-around documents, and automating scripting to configure and maintain remote hosts. The role requires a high level of collaboration with a diverse team of technical professionals, including software and systems engineers, architects, and project engineering teams. The position is based on-site at Schriever Space Force Base, located about 10 miles east of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and requires an active Secret Security clearance prior to starting. The work schedule is flexible, with options for condensed work hours, allowing for additional time away from the office. This role is critical in supporting the design, development, testing, integration, and fielding of hardware and software elements that enable the Missile Defense System to function effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Integrating JEMINI Lab test suites in the development lab.
  • Assisting software development personnel with the investigation and resolution of issues; developing configurations to support test and prototypes of developing systems.
  • Creating and modifying scripts to perform data analysis of input, internal, and output message data.
  • Troubleshooting both test and prototype issues; developing troubleshooting procedures and work-around documents; reviewing and providing feedback on system specifications, development, and test documents as necessary.
  • Automating scripting to configure and maintain remote hosts.

Requirements

  • An active final secret clearance is required prior to starting.
  • Extremely proficient in Linux, scripting (bash, python).
  • High-level understanding of automation and implementation.
  • Highly proficient in troubleshooting methods.
  • Working knowledge of virtualized environments and software testing.
  • Experience in the integration of system components within a test environment.
  • Familiarity with virtualized systems and security design and implementation.
  • Previous experience as a SW Tester/Integrator.
  • Hands-on experience with DoD/other integration processes, Agile and DevOps methodologies, and automated test tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • TS clearance is a plus.
  • Experience developing scripts in Ansible.
  • Knowledge of Containerized Virtual Environments.
  • Experience with Windows Server and PowerShell scripting.
  • Experience setting up, configuring, and maintaining databases.
