New Mexico State University's Global Campus is seeking a Senior Global International Admissions Advisor to manage international student admissions, recruitment, orientation, and registration. This role is pivotal as the key representative for international student recruitment, requiring some international travel for recruitment purposes while also engaging in local recruitment activities. The advisor will be responsible for reviewing and organizing international student applications, contributing to program resource development, and establishing program objectives. Additionally, the advisor will act as a Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO), ensuring compliance with regulations for F and J visa holders and providing guidance on immigration regulations to students. As an ambassador for the University, the advisor will interact with a variety of audiences, including prospective students and their families, applicants, newly admitted students, P-12 school district students and staff, community college students and staff, business and community members, University faculty and staff, and alumni. The advisor will manage a recruitment territory that involves extensive travel during the fall recruitment season, guiding prospective students and their families through the application process. This includes developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with key constituencies in the recruitment territory and assisting with all areas of admission, including undergraduate, transfer, graduate, and international recruitment, marketing and communications, event planning, Aggie Welcome Orientation programming, and family engagement activities. The advisor will create and lead teams of University Admission Advisors and Student Ambassadors to successfully complete tasks related to ongoing responsibilities. They will participate in planning and implementing annual admission recruitment strategies, develop marketing strategies, recruitment publications, and travel schedules, and analyze recruitment data. The advisor will conduct campus tours, presentations, tele-recruiting, and e-recruiting activities, evaluate applicant qualifications, and coordinate various campus programs and special events to engage with the community and market potential new students. They will also work collaboratively with University Financial Aid and Scholarship Services staff, disseminate pertinent information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, and monitor the progress of applicants to admitted and enrolled status.
