About the position
The Global Logistics Coordinator at Expeditors is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate movement of freight and information within the Transcon Department, which handles all domestic transportation. This role emphasizes exceptional customer service and collaboration with logistics professionals to support the network and deliver high-quality service to customers. The position involves managing shipments, data entry, billing, and maintaining compliance with regulations while promoting a positive work culture.
Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient, cost-effective, and timely cargo movement.
- Consolidate and route shipments based on profitability and customer expectations.
- Coordinate pickups and deliveries of location shipments.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system.
- Follow up on and monitor active shipments for key shipment milestones.
- Use departmental tools to execute daily responsibilities.
- Ensure accurate and timely customer and service provider billing.
- Interact with customers to coordinate appointments and provide milestone updates.
- Contribute to maintaining good relationships with service providers and other departments.
- Meet compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Understand department process flow and seek best practices for operational efficiency.
- Ensure all customer standard operating procedures are documented.
- Meet KPI standards in accordance with company procedures.
- Manage all communication with timely responses to emails and phone requests.
- Escalate problems to management when necessary.
- Promote compliance with company policies and regulations.
