About the position

The Global Market Development Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific is responsible for creating and implementing marketing programs for a diverse portfolio of single-use products. This role involves developing global go-to-market strategies and integrated multi-channel marketing plans to achieve key performance indicators and revenue targets. The position requires a strong background in B2B marketing, particularly in optimizing marketing efforts across various channels and stages of the customer funnel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic marketing plans, including analysis of customer segments, competitor analysis, business trends, and market opportunities.
  • Drive demand generation for product portfolios, delivering and evaluating the quality of marketing qualified leads to the technical sales teams.
  • Develop customer personas for each portfolio segment and implement a customer segmentation program to build global audiences.
  • Create and implement technical marketing content across digital channels, including web, video, social media, paid search, and display advertising.
  • Develop sales force selling tools and customer materials in collaboration with product management, R&D, and commercial teams.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, understanding, upholding, and communicating the multi-brand strategy in all marketing programs.
  • Coordinate with global functions to ensure consistency with brand profiles and company standards.
  • Interact with varying levels of internal and external personnel, including direct customer communication and public presentations.
  • Work closely with regional marketing development managers to build and implement marketing programs within their regions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of marketing experience, preferably in the biopharma/biotech segment.
  • Experience with product area marketing plans and knowledge of industry practices for promoting and selling similar products.
  • Experience developing messaging for sales and customer-facing materials.
  • Ability to work in a matrixed organization.
  • Knowledge of value proposition development, marketing mix, customer segmentation, and marketing communication.
  • Outstanding communication, analytical, project management, and planning skills.
  • Strong business sense and customer focus.

Nice-to-haves
