The Global Marketing Director, Product Management at BD Diagnostic Solutions (DS) will lead and coach a global product management team and engage with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-focused, portfolio management decisions for the BD BACTEC (blood culture and TB), ID/AST, BD Kiestra, and manual clinical microbiology product lines for customers around the world, generating profitable growth for the BD DS Microbiology business. He/she is accountable for setting the strategic direction and executing the strategy globally with close collaboration with regional business teams for product lifecycle management, professional services, and downstream marketing for select product lines. This includes partnering closely with internal teams such as operations, quality, and R&D. He/she is accountable for the global financial performance. Directly reporting to the Global Marketing Director includes (4) Global Product Managers. The role requires leading change and driving profitable growth for the Platform through a focus on Microbiology portfolio management, embedding a strong customer-centric focus into portfolio and resource decisions. The successful candidate will drive product life cycle management strategies, decisions, and regional execution, ensuring alignment of Global Business Platform strategic objectives with the overall Microbiology Business Group and DS BU's strategic imperatives. The position also involves supporting the ASR (strategic planning) and budgets, determining forecasts, and delivering on the financial performance of the business platform jointly with the VP, Microbiology Platform Leader.
