About the position

The Global Markets Operations team within Commercial Operations at Citizens Bank plays a crucial role in supporting Middle and Back Office functions across a variety of Listed and Over-The-Counter (OTC) derivative products. The Client Onboarding team, in particular, is responsible for managing all aspects of client setup and ongoing maintenance within the various operating systems that the team supports. This includes handling all documentation, updates, system changes, and maintenance related to clients. The onboarding function is also tasked with ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements associated with the bank's status as a registered Swap Dealer. This position primarily focuses on supporting Private Banking commercial clients, which necessitates a tailored, high-touch experience in every interaction to meet the needs and expectations of high-net-worth individuals. In this role, the selected candidate will manage all Global Markets Private Banking customer data within core applications such as ION's Wall Street Systems and Calypso. Responsibilities will include the collection and management of key documentation, data input and configuration, client analysis, and handling internal and external inquiries. The role requires adherence to department Service Level Agreements (SLAs), policies, procedures, and regulatory and risk requirements, all within a fast-paced environment. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for periodic reporting on productivity, quality, and other ad hoc requirements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all deliverables. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential, as the role involves managing sensitive client interactions and providing expedited resolutions when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Perform confirmation of setup requests using telephony or email.
  • Manage document execution for new client intake.
  • Identify, track, report, and escalate exceptions.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process re-engineering and automation.
  • Engage in regular direct interactions with Customers, Middle Office, PM/RM teams, Client Services, Sales, Risk Management, and other internal business partners.
  • Manage daily independent workload through a dedicated email box that receives regular work packages for completion.
  • Review various documents for completion, including Terms and Conditions (T&C's), FX agreements, ISDA and related Swap Dealer documentation, trading mandates, and internal risk compliance documents.

Requirements

  • Experience in Global Markets Operations or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of OTC derivative products and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in using ION's Wall Street Systems and Calypso or similar applications.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive client interactions with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
