About the position
The Global Middle Office Representative III role at Fidelity Investments involves supporting operational activities related to derivatives trading. This position requires collaboration with team members to manage trade confirmations, lifecycle events, margin calls, and collateral transfers, while also serving as the primary contact for business partners. The role is integral to enhancing the efficiency of the derivatives team and involves participation in various tactical, strategic, and regulatory projects.
Responsibilities
- Complete trade confirmations and execute lifecycle events associated with derivatives trading.
- Execute daily margin calls and confirm settlement of collateral.
- Analyze, research, and resolve margin call and collateral variances with broker-dealers and custodian banks.
- Provide reporting to key internal and external business partners.
- Recognize and escalate high-risk items to minimize potential losses.
- Assist in the development and review of new or updated departmental policies and procedures.
- Test and automate processes and workflows in a constantly evolving environment.
Requirements
- Four-year college degree in business or finance.
- 1-3 years of financial services work experience preferred.
- Experience in collateral management and/or middle office operations.
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to multitask.
- Attention to detail in following procedures and controls.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (such as Word or Excel).
- Ability to train on and work with different operating systems.
