The Business Analyst role at AIG is pivotal in empowering customers to succeed through the development and implementation of strategic technology solutions and support. This position involves collaborating on the digital strategy and implementing automation solutions that leverage advanced technologies such as AI, natural language processing, and robotics throughout the insurance lifecycle and value chain. As a Business Analyst, you will serve as a liaison, providing essential capability, application, and process information regarding new and ongoing technology applications. You will develop a comprehensive understanding of applications and processes, enabling you to quickly identify the context and root causes of issues, and propose effective solutions to customers. In cases where issues exceed your immediate scope, you will escalate them to the appropriate internal teams and maintain regular follow-ups for updates on progress. In this role, you will analyze business requirements and consult with personnel across various departments to pinpoint areas for improvement. This may involve examining business practices, processes, and problems, and developing solutions that encompass process design, software development, or policy changes. You will also create specifications for systems to meet requirements and validate those requirements, providing recommendations for new or enhanced systems, software upgrades, and modifications. Additionally, you will advise senior stakeholders on business change priorities and bridge the gap between technical teams and business departments to ensure that functional specifications align with business needs. Your responsibilities will include conducting market analysis, analyzing product lines, and assessing the overall profitability of the business. You will develop and share reports that assist managers in making informed business decisions, while also planning, managing, and executing business analysis activities throughout the project lifecycle. This includes defining scope, requirements, and deliverables, conducting research and analysis, facilitating workshops and meetings, and creating and validating models and documents. You will maintain internal logs, identify customer needs, and assist customers in utilizing specific features effectively. Taking ownership of customer problems, you will act as the single point of contact for all inquiries related to troubleshooting procedures, ensuring timely resolution of product or service issues. Furthermore, you will document test results, recommend potential features and enhancements, and create help content or solution articles to aid others in the organization.
