About the position

The Control Automation Senior Manager for Global Operations is a senior leadership role at Citi responsible for driving the strategy, development, and implementation of automated controls across the organization. This position leads a team focused on enhancing the efficiency and scalability of control processes through innovative automation solutions, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and strengthening the risk management framework.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for Controls automation across Global Operations.
• Collaborate with senior management to align automation initiatives with Citi's strategic goals and risk management objectives.
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge automation solutions to streamline control processes.
• Identify and leverage ITeSS approved technologies, emerging technologies, and industry best practices to enhance automation capabilities.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of automation experts and control professionals.
• Ensure that automated controls are robust, effective, and compliant with Citi policy and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with risk, compliance, and audit teams to assess and mitigate potential risks associated with automation initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation across Global operations.
• Drive the standardization and harmonization of control processes to achieve greater efficiency, consistency, and standardization.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive automation initiatives and communicate their value to senior management.

Requirements

• 15+ years experience in controls automation, risk management, or a related field within the financial services industry.
• Highly motivated with attention to detail, team oriented, organized.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale automation initiatives and driving strategic initiatives.
• Familiar with identifying, assessing, monitoring, and managing risks and controls in an organization or project.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with senior leaders.
• Demonstrated ability to assess complex issues through root cause analysis and other analytical techniques.
