About the position

The Program Manager II, Global Operations is responsible for strategizing and implementing high-level program initiatives across the global operations portfolio. This role requires strong leadership and program coordination skills to optimize productivity and ensure program success from inception to completion. The manager will oversee various programs, including mergers and acquisitions, manufacturing transfers, and business continuity planning, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Design, plan and execute Global Operations strategic initiatives/programs.
  • Work closely with project sponsors and cross-functional teams to develop project scope and deliverables.
  • Clearly define the critical path and decision criteria for projects.
  • Lead and manage programs to achieve results according to endorsed plans.
  • Identify key requirements for cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Negotiate resource allocation to support program plans.
  • Monitor and manage progress against approved schedules and budgets.
  • Facilitate identification of program issues and propose resolutions.
  • Lead the preparation and maintenance of integrated risk management plans.
  • Analyze and evaluate program risks, producing reports for stakeholders.
  • Ensure effective communication of program information.
  • Identify team performance issues and recommend actions to leadership.
  • Maximize cross-functional process efficiencies in line with program goals.
  • Work flexibly across different time zones as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in health sciences, business, or financial management.
  • 10+ years of experience or equivalent education and experience, advanced degree preferred.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • 5+ years' experience in an upper management role, preferably in program management.
  • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale programs/projects.
  • Excellent negotiating skills and experience managing stakeholders.
  • Strong business, analytical, and planning skills.
  • Outstanding knowledge of change management principles.
  • Creative thinking and proactive problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Lean Six Sigma training/knowledge is a plus.
