About the position

The Human Capital Operations Business Analyst role is designed to support the development and execution of global strategies that enhance Human Capital operations. This position involves a variety of responsibilities, including conducting opportunity and gap analyses, process mapping, and defining requirements for new and evolving initiatives. The analyst will also analyze investments to align with Aon's strategic goals, creating a prioritized multi-year roadmap that guides the organization’s efforts. Establishing program governance, tracking progress, and reporting on various initiatives are key components of this role, as well as monitoring performance metrics related to Human Capital operations. Collaboration is essential, as the analyst will work closely with regional, service line, and functional subject matter experts (SMEs) to influence and drive progress against the global agenda. In this remote position, the analyst will have the flexibility to work virtually from anywhere in the continental United States, Canada, or the United Kingdom. The role requires identifying, evaluating, and supporting the implementation of plans aimed at growing, improving, standardizing, and automating Human Capital operations. This includes developing implementation plans, identifying risks, and supporting the execution of priority global initiatives and change management processes. The analyst will create management reports, track progress, and gather stakeholder feedback to ensure successful project execution. Additionally, the analyst will manage strategic projects and key initiatives by creating roadmaps, tracking dependencies, and monitoring progress. Conducting detailed analyses across global topics and managing Human Capital governance forums and councils are also part of the responsibilities. The analyst will support the Human Capital Platform strategy by conducting interviews, documenting feedback, and presenting findings and recommendations to team members. Financial analyses and business cases will be created to fund required investments, and the analyst will track progress against agreed-upon milestones while sharing industry trends and research with the team.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of work experience in an operations role, change management role, or continuous improvement role.
  • Foundational understanding of Human Capital (Health, Wealth, and/or Talent) including industry practices and recent trends.
  • Proven experience in applying well-developed problem-solving skills (quantitative, conceptual, analytical).
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for growth and take a leadership role in exploring new ideas.
  • Strong work ethic, open-mindedness, and willingness to learn.
  • Good organizational awareness and results-oriented mindset.
