The Data Management Governance Specialist will facilitate processes that monitor and mitigate adherence to one or more of the Enterprise Data Management Standard. This role will serve as a subject matter expert on the associated Standard(s) requirements ensuring GO FLU adherence, sustain ongoing engagement with GO FLUs to drive transparent processes, flawless execution, and timely escalation and remediation of related issues/incidents. This job is responsible for ensuring operational data is fit for purpose, defining controls, and monitoring processes are in adherence to enterprise data management standards. Key responsibilities include triaging and remediating data incidents, performing data analysis, training new users, and performing impact analysis stemming from data updates. Job expectations include helping in defining access and ownership of data by domain, conducting quality control, and overseeing data maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Support and ultimately lead the execution of adherence related processes, controls, reporting and escalation to monitor and control Global Operation's adherence to one or more Enterprise Data Management Standards.
  • Design, implement and improve governance adherence routines, processes or controls.
  • Design and execute QA efforts to identify weakness in controls and adherence.
  • Gather and assess FLU adherence evidence and deliver feedback.
  • Gather various inputs to evaluate/challenge EDSGO metrics.
  • Author responses to inquiries from GO stakeholders, EDSGO, GCOR and Audit.
  • Create/Maintain trainings and procedures that support the execution of activities performed by the team.
  • Create and maintain governance procedures and process maps.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on assigned Standard requirements and expectations.
  • Operate consistently with process and risk management discipline.
  • Successfully integrate with a diverse set of stakeholders.
  • Provide recommendations to simplify and strengthen processes and controls.
  • Support the response and/or remediation of any audits or exams.

Requirements

  • Self-starter with a strong capability to deliver against multiple priorities.

  • Experience/strong familiarity with data management lifecycle/concepts (capture, transport, use, external data transmission).
  • Demonstrated experience with communicating (written and verbal) to diverse stakeholder groups to ensure clarity and execution against published outcomes.
  • Proven ability to develop written materials (decks, briefing materials) used to organize and clearly communicate and memorialize key messages to stakeholders; metrics/scorecard development.
  • Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Working knowledge of the Enterprise Data Management standards and policies.
