About the position

The Global Payroll Administrator at Trintech is responsible for managing both domestic and international payroll processes in a dynamic and collaborative environment. This role involves full-cycle payroll processing for employees across multiple states in the U.S. and coordination with international payroll partners for payroll in various countries. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and committed to accuracy, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations and effective communication with internal teams and employees.

Responsibilities

  • Full-cycle processing of semi-monthly US payroll for employees in 20+ states.
  • Review and process hours from a timekeeping system and import to the payroll module.
  • Assist with payroll compliance matters including multi-state tax withholding and garnishments.
  • Reconcile and validate 401k/Roth contributions and resolve discrepancies.
  • Review W-2s for accuracy and timely issuance.
  • Monitor and calculate wages, tax deductions, and overtime according to laws.
  • Process and monitor garnishment orders in compliance with regulations.
  • Assist with international payrolls in Australia, Canada, UK, France, India, Germany, Denmark, and Norway.
  • Compile monthly payroll changes for international payroll processors.
  • Audit and approve payroll for accuracy before funding.
  • Conduct post-payroll procedures and submit reports to internal teams.
  • Maintain documentation and respond to payroll-related inquiries promptly.
  • Prepare special or off-cycle checks as needed.
  • Collaborate with HR, Accounting, and Finance teams on payroll matters.
  • Prepare and manage quarterly and annual payroll reports.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing.
  • Advanced analytical skills to audit and find discrepancies.
  • Demonstrated advanced-level experience with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookup functions.
  • Experience handling sensitive payroll information.
  • Certified Payroll Processing (CPP) or Fundamentals of Payroll (FPC) certification preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a payroll or HR position with payroll responsibilities.
