About the position

The Global People Operations Lead at Whatnot is responsible for enhancing the employee experience through effective onboarding, managing People Operations processes, and supporting HRIS implementation. This role involves overseeing the People Help Desk, managing employee changes, and contributing to analytics and reporting. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and ensure compliance, all while focusing on scalability and employee satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee onboarding processes, ensuring seamless execution of pre-employment tasks and orientation.
  • Manage and scale the People Operations Help Desk, ensuring timely responses and proactive issue resolution.
  • Administer people documentation, overseeing customization and secure filing of people-related documents.
  • Contribute to HRIS implementation (Workday), ensuring system alignment with business needs.
  • Support People Team programs, coordinating and ensuring successful execution across COEs.
  • Manage bulk employee changes in HRIS, providing proactive support for smooth adjustments.
  • Contribute to analytics, supporting People dashboards and quarterly attrition metrics.
  • Support the build-out and implementation of the shared services model for the People team.
  • Partner closely with the people team and cross-functional stakeholders to refine operational processes.
  • Maintain existing people operations process documents and recommend improvements.
  • Leverage people technology tools to create automations and efficiencies in processes.
  • Plan, implement, and oversee People Ops team projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a tech organization.
  • Experience in effective collaboration and communication within a remote-first environment.
  • Skilled in recommending and implementing process improvements with strong organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in using Workday and other HR technology tools.
  • Strong analytical and data reporting skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deliverables with attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in Google Suite, MS Office, Slab/Confluence, Asana, Notion, Looker.
