About the position

The Global Product Director for GenAI at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is responsible for leading the development and management of internal Generative AI productivity tools aimed at enhancing the productivity of case teams. This role focuses on delivering business results and customer value through incremental product development, continuous market research, and effective stakeholder engagement. The Product Director will serve as the voice of the customer, translating their needs into actionable user stories and ensuring alignment with the overall product strategy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver business results and customer value
• Ensure incremental product development with new features released at the end of each quad
• Track product performance to inform future work
• Deliver on specific and measurable KPIs
• Conduct continuous market research in the AI/GenAI space
• Translate customer needs into user stories
• Engage users each sprint for feedback
• Leverage data to assess feature performance
• Prioritize work through a well-organized backlog
• Define and communicate acceptance criteria for outputs
• Support and enable the Squad to complete their work
• Regularly engage with the Squad for feedback and clarification
• Collaborate with Chapter Leads for resource management
• Provide performance management feedback to Squad members
• Set an overall vision for the Squad's work
• Align with Product Portfolio Lead on business strategy and objectives
• Translate objectives into a clear vision for the Squad
• Share information about the Squad's output with other Product Owners
• Model behaviors to support organizational transformation
• Create and maintain a Squad culture based on Agile principles

Requirements

• 10-12+ years' relevant experience as Product Owner
• Experience as Scrum Master or Agile Coach/Mentor
• Experience in delivering AI products, especially GenAI and LLMs
• Familiarity with OpenAI's GPT models and machine learning frameworks
• Agile Certifications (e.g., Professional Scrum Product Owner)
• Understanding of agile principles and ways of working
• Good understanding of technology-enabled business transformation
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience in consulting is a plus
