About the position

The Global Product Director for GenAI at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is responsible for leading the development and management of internal Generative AI productivity tools aimed at enhancing the productivity of case teams. This role focuses on delivering business results and customer value through incremental product development, continuous market research, and effective stakeholder engagement. The Product Director will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate customer needs into actionable user stories and ensure alignment with the overall product strategy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver business results and customer value
• Ensure incremental product development with new features released at the end of each quad
• Track product performance to inform future work
• Deliver on specific and measurable KPIs
• Conduct continuous market research in the AI/GenAI space
• Serve as the voice of the customer, translating needs into user stories
• Leverage data to assess feature performance and inform prioritization
• Proactively seek customer feedback to understand their needs
• Oversee the Squad's deliverables and timelines
• Prioritize work through a well-organized backlog of user stories
• Define and communicate acceptance criteria based on business needs
• Support and enable the Squad to complete their work
• Engage regularly with the Squad to provide feedback and clarify requirements
• Collaborate with Chapter Leads on resourcing and expertise
• Provide performance management feedback for Squad members
• Set an overall vision to guide the Squad's work
• Align with the Product Portfolio Lead on business strategy and objectives
• Translate objectives into a clear vision for the Squad
• Share information about the Squad's output with other Product Owners
• Model behaviors to support organizational transformation
• Create and maintain a Squad culture based on Agile principles

Requirements

• 10-12+ years' relevant experience as Product Owner
• Experience as Scrum Master or Agile Coach/Mentor
• Experience in delivering AI products, especially GenAI and LLMs
• Familiarity with OpenAI's GPT models and machine learning frameworks
• Agile Certifications (e.g., Professional Scrum Product Owner)
• Understanding of agile principles and ways of working
• Good understanding of technology-enabled business transformation
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience in consulting is a plus
