About the position

The Global Product Group Business Development Manager at ABB is responsible for driving the business development function for the Product Group Low Voltage System Drives. This role involves strategy formulation, business planning, and managing complex business development projects in a global context. The position aims to empower sustainable solutions through collaboration and innovation, contributing to the Motion/System Drives Division's objectives.

Responsibilities

• Driving and implementing global product group strategy by analyzing global and regional markets, customer segments, and competitive moves.
• Collaborating with the global product group management team and other stakeholders to ensure definition and follow-up of the strategy and business plans.
• Spearheading business development projects and establishing metrics to monitor performance and strategic initiative progress.
• Optimizing the use of global information for effective business decision-making and market intelligence updates.

Requirements

• Minimum 6-8 years of work experience in Business Development, Strategy or Project/Program Management in a large international organization or global management consulting firm.
• Proven track record in Business Development activities within a B2B environment.
• Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance or Marketing.
• Technical understanding and background in a comparable industrial segment is preferred.
• Experience in Merger & Acquisition projects is an advantage.
• Strategical thinking and good analytical skills.
• Cultural sensitivity and good influencing and coordinating skills.
• Ability to manage without authority and self-motivated, proactive collaboration skills.
• Solid stakeholder engagement skills and fluent English language skills.
