About the position

The Global Product Manager for Solderless Terminals at Molex will play a crucial role in expanding the product line within the Electrical & Power segment. This position involves defining and implementing strategies to grow the product line, increasing revenue and profitability, and collaborating with various teams to bring new products to market. The role requires a blend of product management, financial analysis, and customer engagement to ensure the success of the product offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the strategy to grow the product line.
  • Increase revenue, profitability, and market share of assigned products.
  • Identify new differentiated products applicable to current and potential customers.
  • Concept test new ideas with Sales, target customers, and distributors.
  • Perform financial analysis to ensure proposed developments meet profitability requirements.
  • Create Voice of the Customer product requirements for Engineering.
  • Establish book pricing for products.
  • Review Engineering design proposals to ensure they meet product requirements.
  • Create promotional material and sample kits for product launches.
  • Train Sales, customers, and distributors on new product capabilities.
  • Work with plants on capacity planning and cost reduction activities.
  • Review and approve pricing requests.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in product management and/or sales.
  • Track record of growing revenue and profitability.
  • Ability to guide customers to appropriate product solutions.
  • Understanding of business metrics and data used to gauge product success.
  • Ability to effectively build relationships with internal teams and external contacts.

Nice-to-haves

  • Technical degree.
  • Experience in solderless terminals and crimping technology.
  • Experience and knowledge in Electrification, Industrial markets, and Machine builders.
  • Experience in markets across multiple geographies.
