About the position

As a Global Product Marketing Manager for Discovery and Community, you will play a critical role in setting our global marketing strategies and execution plans to bring our products to billions of users and creators worldwide. This position is based in San Jose, California, and requires strong partnerships with global product teams, regional marketing teams, and cross-functional teams to accelerate adoption and enhance understanding of our Discovery and Community product verticals across diverse audiences and countries. In this role, you will develop global product marketing strategies, narratives, and campaigns, as well as build go-to-market strategies and measurement plans that support key adoption and awareness goals. You will partner with regional marketing teams to enable localized creative development, user targeting, and channel strategies. Collaboration with global product teams is essential to align on key product priorities and milestones, ensuring that they are delivered through globally consistent execution plans. You will act as a liaison between teams and our users, understanding and advocating for their needs while actively identifying gaps and opportunities to better serve our audiences. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of product marketing experience in mobile, tech, or consumer products, with a proven track record of conceptualizing, planning, and launching marketing campaigns that drive awareness and adoption of new products and services. You should be comfortable working in an experimental and fast-paced environment within a complex, matrixed organization. A creative approach to building marketing campaigns around products, strong project management skills, and excellent cross-group collaboration abilities are essential for success in this role. Passion for TikTok and its mission, along with strong communication skills, will be key attributes for the successful candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Develop global product marketing strategies, narratives, and campaigns for Discovery and Community products.
  • Build go-to-market strategies and measurement plans to support key adoption and awareness goals.
  • Partner with regional marketing teams to enable localized creative development and user targeting.
  • Collaborate with global product teams to align on key product priorities and milestones.
  • Ensure seamless cross-functional coordination with product, marketing, PR, operations, strategy, and finance teams.
  • Understand and advocate for the needs of TikTok users, identifying gaps and opportunities.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of product marketing experience in mobile/tech/consumer products.
  • Experience in conceptualizing, planning, and launching marketing campaigns.
  • Proven ability to drive awareness and adoption of new products and services.
  • Comfortable working in an experimental and fast-paced environment.
