About the position

The Research Analyst position within our Global Research organization is designed to support institutional sales and trading teams by providing insightful and objective research. Analysts will engage in financial modeling, conduct primary research, and write comprehensive reports to assist clients in making informed investment decisions across various industries. This role emphasizes building client relationships and requires a strong understanding of financial principles and market trends.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble historical financial models using SEC filings, company conference calls, and press releases.
  • Conduct financial, statistical, and industry analysis to support the team's investment thesis.
  • Learn fundamentals of the industry and companies covered, researching sector trends that may impact recommendations.
  • Write short notes and detailed reports on economies, markets, and industries; contribute to daily, weekly, or monthly reports.
  • Initiate and build relationships with clients to develop a network of contacts relevant to the industry or asset market.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a graduation timeframe between December 2024 and June 2025.
  • Background in accounting, economics, mathematics, engineering, statistics, or programming is a plus.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.2 preferred.
  • Demonstrated academic aptitude and quantitative skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and quality control over work.
  • Client service orientation and drive to exceed expectations.
  • Strong team and partnering skills, with the ability to operate effectively remotely.
  • Passion for the US capital markets and ability to learn and utilize various market data sources.
  • Ability to create and maintain financial models.
  • Understanding of finance, accounting, and valuation techniques; familiarity with US accounting standards.
