About the position

The Global Sales and Marketing Director at ITW Electronics Assembly Equipment Division is responsible for leading the global sales and marketing team, developing and executing sales strategies, and driving profitable growth. This strategic role requires a customer-focused approach to identify opportunities and manage a high-performing sales organization to meet market penetration and revenue targets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the global sales and marketing team, ensuring accountability for segment strategy and bookings targets.
  • Plan and execute sales strategies, including market segmentation and external analysis of customers and competitors.
  • Manage and develop a marketing and selling organization to achieve market coverage and customer service targets.
  • Ensure efficient handling of sales opportunities through appropriate sales channels.
  • Oversee the development and execution of annual sales plans through subordinate staff.
  • Monitor worldwide sales activity and take corrective actions to achieve volume and growth objectives.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to provide insights on product offerings.
  • Manage pipeline sales data in Salesforce.com and regularly review metrics to identify trends.
  • Define and implement processes for maintaining and managing customer relationships.
  • Identify key accounts and develop plans to deepen customer relationships.
  • Work with Product Management on new product introductions and develop supporting sales strategies.
  • Establish sales metrics for new products and execute plans to achieve targets.
  • Lead the development of advertising, PR, social media, and sales tool strategies to promote the brand.
  • Establish and manage the annual operating budget for marketing and selling.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in marketing, selling, or product management.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience managing a technical sales organization.
  • Experience managing a complex go-to-market strategy (both direct and channel sales).
  • Minimum 5 years of engineering experience preferred.
  • International experience with cross-cultural awareness highly desired.
  • P&L management experience preferred.
  • Broad understanding of high-tech/capital equipment sales methods and competitive selling techniques.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of components and processing involved in strategic account management.
  • Thorough understanding of financial business concepts and marketing.
