About the position

The Global Sales and Demand Planner at Grundens is a crucial role within the global sales team, responsible for driving efficient inventory management processes and supporting strategic decision-making to meet customer demand and maximize profitability. This position involves optimizing inventory levels, minimizing stockouts, and ensuring customer satisfaction through accurate demand forecasting and collaboration with various teams.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize historical data, market trends, and statistical models to accurately forecast product demand.
  • Develop global demand plans that represent all channels of business (D2C, N.A. Wholesale, Amazon, EMEA, LATAM) for short-term and long-term horizons to support sales and production objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and incorporate business intelligence into demand forecasts.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand forecasting accuracy.
  • Generate regular reports and insights to stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations for action.
  • Proactively identify process improvements and optimization opportunities within demand planning.
  • Implement best practices, tools, and methodologies to enhance forecasting accuracy.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives to streamline processes and improve overall business performance.
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and seasonal sell-through analysis by top 20 accounts and sales analytics platforms.
  • Collaborate with product management teams to validate product data, ensuring it meets quality standards and enhances the customer experience.
  • Responsible for achieving on-hand inventory goals aligned with company directive for fulfillment of prebooked and asap replenishment orders.
  • Plan exit strategies and transition plans for excess and end-of-life inventory.
  • Identify key opportunities and obstacles inherent to the forecasting process.
  • Assist management in continuous improvement of the process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or similar field.
  • At least 5 years of apparel experience.
  • Proven experience in demand planning, data management, or related roles.
  • Retail experience is valued.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, proficient in statistical analysis and forecasting techniques.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and influence decision-making processes.
  • Strong process implementation skillset.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with planning tools/systems.
  • Experience with demand planning software is greatly preferred but not required.
