About the position

The Global Sales Development Manager for Aviation at EthosEnergy Group is a strategic role focused on driving growth in the aviation sector by selling overhaul services for critical engine components. This position involves identifying new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and achieving revenue targets, particularly in the South Asian and European markets. The role can be performed remotely or from company facilities in Connecticut or South Carolina.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the aviation sector, focusing on overhaul services for aircraft engine components.
  • Expand market presence in the Western Hemisphere, South Asia, and Europe by developing relationships with key industry players, including airlines, MRO providers, and OEMs.
  • Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline through proactive lead generation, networking, and relationship building.
  • Create and present tailored proposals to potential clients, emphasizing the value and quality of services offered.
  • Manage and nurture relationships with existing clients to drive repeat business and long-term partnerships.
  • Serve as the point of contact for clients in the aviation sector, ensuring high customer satisfaction and addressing service-related concerns.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including engineering and operations, to ensure customer needs are met promptly and efficiently.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company revenue goals and market share targets within the aviation sector.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create sales materials, campaigns, and promotional activities targeted at aviation customers globally.
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets as set by the VP of Operations & Sales Director.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports, track performance against goals, and make data-driven decisions to enhance results.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, market trends, and technical advancements in aircraft engine components and maintenance services.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to represent the company and expand the professional network.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in identifying and securing new business opportunities within the aviation sector, particularly in aircraft engine component overhaul services.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with key industry stakeholders, including airlines, MRO providers, and OEMs.
  • Skilled in working cross-functionally with internal teams (engineering, operations, etc.) to deliver customer solutions on time and within scope.
  • Analytical skills to assess market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs, as well as adapt strategies to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Proficiency in sales forecasting, reporting, and tracking performance against sales goals using data-driven insights.
  • In-depth understanding of the aviation industry, including technical knowledge of aircraft engine components and MRO services.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably within the aviation or aerospace industry.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with technical aspects of aircraft engines and components is highly desirable.
  • Advanced degrees (MBA) are a plus.
