About the position

The GSOC Security Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of facilities by monitoring access control and camera systems, coordinating emergency responses, and maintaining communication with physical security officers and first responders. This position requires a proactive approach to security operations, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor Access Control & Camera Systems
  • Address Access Control Alarms via Access Control Systems & Cameras
  • Dispatch Physical Security Officer(s)
  • Make email and/or telephone notifications as described in GSOC Protocols
  • Modify Access Control badges per approved requests
  • Address mission critical equipment alarms as described in GSOC Protocols
  • Make notification and requests concerning facility life preservation systems
  • Identify and Log Access Control malfunctions
  • Coordinate Emergency incidents with Physical Security Officers
  • Understand and execute Emergency GSOC Protocols
  • Coordinate & communicate with First Responders
  • Participate in regular training and scenario-based security drills
  • Compile daily GSOC activities into daily shift reports
  • Accurately ensure detailed shift pass-downs are issued and followed
  • Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual GSOC statistical data
  • Author Incident Reports as described in GSOC Protocols
  • Complete security equipment and provide Access Control & Camera audit & testing forms
  • Ensure GSOC Supervisor is aware of all global security operations
  • Answer telephone calls and provide security services coordination
  • Use radio to dispatch and track Security Officer / Security Receptionist calls for requests
  • Complete general employee Service Requests
  • Complete requests for Facilities Service
  • Be aware of all global events and their schedules
  • Be aware and ready to provide special requests for events and employees
  • Understand and execute general service GSOC Protocols
  • Perform GSOC related projects and tasks as requested by the GSOC Supervisor and/or Corporate Security Manager
  • Maintain a clean and orderly GSOC facility
  • Comply with LinkedIn's company policies

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a reliable means of communication
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation
  • Must have the legal right to work in Ireland
  • Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Gmail, and other Google products such as Google Docs
  • Prior GSOC experience recommended
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to change gears quickly
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively via telephone and email
  • Ability to interact with all levels of employees and visitors
  • Highly organized and able to manage time wisely
  • Must have a sense of urgency and follow through
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with co-workers and peers
  • Must pass drug and criminal background check provided by supplier
