About the position

The Global Senior Brand Manager - Oncology at Bayer is responsible for supporting the Global Product Teams in designing and executing brand strategies to commercialize the Bayer pharma portfolio of products. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and key markets to co-create marketing strategies and tactics for successful product commercialization, while ensuring alignment with global brand objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Support effective development and implementation of marketing strategies for the asset to enable world-class commercialization plans.
  • Support the development of brand plans and manage the interface to markets in the development of integrated brand plans.
  • Support the development of segmentation strategies (HCP and patient) and targeting framework.
  • Lead the development of the unbranded and branded key message framework, message architecture, and integrated brand communications strategy (HCP and Patient) including training guidance in collaboration with key markets.
  • Develop unbranded and branded campaigns in line with the brand positioning.
  • Champion global brand alignment by advising affiliates on brand strategy.
  • Lead the interface to markets for learning cycles and best practice sharing.
  • Develop, deliver, and evaluate integrated omnichannel plans and promotional guidance across multiple channels, including leading global external initiatives and events (e.g., congress).
  • Lead the development of Digital Health solutions that will drive differentiation and improve stakeholder experience.
  • Support consolidation and interpretation of market understanding and competitive environment of the brand therapeutic landscape and implications on brand development and messaging.
  • Monitor, reevaluate, and implement corrective measures to global deliverables using a data-driven mindset.
  • Monitor and control brand budgets, forecasts, and expenses.
  • Manage key agencies.

Requirements

  • Minimum: BS or BA;
  • Experience and successful global or regional marketing experience required;
  • Experience in managing external collaborations;
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal English language;
  • Experience working in matrix-based teams; strong collaboration/relationship-building skills and ability to engage across multiple functions;
  • Demonstrated cross-functional leadership capabilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • PhD, MBA, or advanced degree preferred;
  • 3+ years International/Global Strategic Brand Management experience working in one of the key therapy areas preferred (CV, WH, Ophthalmology, Oncology);
  • Experience commercializing in key PT markets preferred;
  • Experience in customer-facing position is a plus.
