About the position

The Global Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of Rohde & Schwarz in the Bay Area, collaborating with local and international account managers to enhance customer relationships and support product planning. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to engage with customers and internal teams effectively, ensuring that the company's solutions meet the long-term needs of clients in the digital, power, electrical, and RF engineering sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and drive the strategic direction for Rohde & Schwarz with Account Managers locally and abroad.
  • Build and maintain relationships within designated customer accounts to enhance cooperation and support requirements.
  • Host regular meetings with international sales teams to discuss important account topics and strategies.
  • Act as a leader and central point of contact for customer-related topics, updates, and direction.
  • Track and explore customer technical applications to position Rohde & Schwarz solutions effectively.
  • Engage directly with R&S Munich headquarters to provide account updates and customer feedback.
  • Conduct in-field customer engagement, visiting customer sites globally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technology/engineering education.
  • 10+ years of test equipment sales or technical sales experience.
  • Experience in key/strategic/global account management.
  • Understanding of wireless communication, chipset development, digital design, signal integrity, power design, and RF test industries.
  • Proven ability to build and broker high-level customer relationships.
  • Experience with cross-border team collaboration.
